Navigating Emotions
Curiosity instead of judgment.
Some children explode before they know what they’re feeling. Some feel everything, intensely. Some seem to feel nothing at all. And many genuinely cannot name what’s happening inside them – not because they won’t, but because they can’t yet sense it.
This pillar is built on one insight: emotions begin in the body. Before a child can name a feeling, they have to be able to notice it – the racing heart, the heavy chest, the knot in the stomach. Emotions aren’t problems to be managed. They’re messages, each carrying information about what a child needs. The goal isn’t emotional control. It’s emotional literacy.
Below you’ll find courses and resources to support this area – helping children notice the sensations beneath their feelings, build the words for what’s happening inside, and meet their inner world with curiosity instead of fear.
