Professional Studio
Some things are easier to show than to say. The Professional Studio gives children and young people creative ways to show what is happening inside, and gives the adult beside them a clear way to introduce each tool and what to ask.
Why the Professional Studio
Children and young people don't always communicate with words. Sometimes they need another way to show what is happening inside, and the adult sitting beside them needs something useful to do with it.
Some children and young people can't find the words. Others don't yet know what they are feeling. These tools give them another way to express thoughts, feelings and experiences, without the pressure of having to explain.
Creativity becomes communication.
No single activity works for everyone. Some build, some draw, some tell stories, some create whole worlds. A range of tools means each child or young person can find a way that feels right for them.

Every tool is built on The BOUNCE Approach®, where behaviour is communication. It is not about interpreting what a child makes. It is about curiosity, connection and understanding what may be happening underneath.

How it works
Pick the one that fits what you are noticing: the body, energy, feelings, friendships, change or the school day itself.
Each tool comes with a guide for the adult on how to introduce it and what to ask.
Sit alongside the child or young person on screen. They lead. You stay curious.
Take what they showed you into the plan, and see the behaviour differently next time it happens.
The Professional Studio sits in the Do stage of Assess, Plan, Do, Review: something to use straight away, with a child or young person in front of you.
The tools
Every tool below comes with your Professional Studio licence.
Use it on its own, or as part of a year-long curriculum
The Professional Studio works on its own, with any child or young person. It also supports BOUNCE Learning Journeys, a 12-month PSHE curriculum that uses 6 of these tools in its sessions.
