Esteem & Identity
Who am I becoming?
By the time some children reach you, they’ve already written their story: I’m bad. I’m stupid. I’m too much. An identity built from behaviour reports, corrections and comparisons – not from anyone helping them discover who they actually are.
This pillar is both where the framework leads and what it’s for. When a child feels safe, connected, understood and heard, something becomes possible: a sense of self built on genuine self-knowledge rather than other people’s judgments. The shift this pillar makes possible is profound – from “I am bad” to “my nervous system was protecting me.” Worth that isn’t conditional on compliance.
Below you’ll find courses and resources to support this area – helping children discover their strengths, build self-worth that doesn’t depend on getting it right, and hear who they are becoming, not just how they behaved.

What difference did it make?
A Snapshot turns curiosity into clarity.
Once you’ve put this pillar into practice, a Snapshot brings together observations from the adults around a child – a simple, repeatable way to see whether support is making a difference, evidence change over time, and know what to build next.
