Coaching with Tracy
Practical, Regulation-Focused Support

Sometimes courses and resources aren’t enough. Sometimes you need someone to talk to.
Tracy is a somatic practitioner, educator, and founder of the Child Therapy Service – with over 20 years’ experience supporting children who are struggling, their families, and the people around them.
Sessions are short-term, practical, and focused on regulation strategies you can use straight away.
Three Ways to Work Together
- 👧 Child Coaching Helping your child understand what their brain and body are experiencing – and build regulation skills that last.
- 👩 Parent Coaching When your child is dysregulated, it’s hard not to be pulled in. These sessions focus on you – your triggers, your responses, and your capacity to show up the way you want to.
- 👨👩👧 Family Coaching Exploring how your family’s nervous systems interact, and building calmer, more connected ways of responding together.

What Others Say
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is practical, neurodivergent affirming, and forward-focused. Rather than exploring the past in depth, coaching helps you and your family understand what’s happening in the nervous system right now – and build practical skills to manage it. If deeper therapeutic support is needed, Tracy will discuss this with you at the consultation.
Which type of coaching is right for us?
This depends on where the difficulty is felt most – and also on the age of your child. As all sessions are held remotely via Zoom, child coaching is generally most suitable for older children and teenagers who are able to engage in an online session. For younger children, parent coaching or family coaching is often the more practical and effective starting point. The initial consultation will help clarify the best approach for your family.
Is your approach neurodivergent-affirming?
Yes – and it comes from a genuine place. Tracy is neurodivergent herself and brings lived experience to every session. This means sessions are never about fixing or changing who your child is. The focus is on understanding how their brain and nervous system work, and finding approaches that work with them – not against them.
What happens at the initial consultation?
The initial consultation is the first step for everyone – and it works in two parts. The first is a confidential conversation with the parent or family, to explore what’s happening, identify patterns, and work out whether coaching is the right fit. If child coaching is being considered, there is also a separate initial consultation with the child. This is a relaxed, no-pressure meeting where they can meet Tracy, ask questions, and decide for themselves whether they would like to work together. Nothing moves forward without their agreement.
How many sessions will we need?
Tracy’s coaching is intentionally short-term – typically between three and six sessions. The aim is to give you and your family practical tools and understanding that you can use independently, rather than creating long-term reliance on support. If further or different support is needed beyond this, Tracy will discuss the best options with you.
Do I need to be a Learning Portal member to access coaching?
No – coaching is open to everyone. Sessions are priced at £40 for an initial consultation and from £35 per ongoing session.
Learning Portal membership is £12.99 and reduces both to £30 – meaning the membership pays for itself on your very first booking, saving you £10 on the consultation alone. Every session after that saves you a further £5.
What is the Learning Portal?
The Learning Portal is an online membership that gives families access to a growing library of practical resources – including practical regulation videos, training courses on topics such as ADHD, anxiety, and nervous system responses, guides, and tools to use at home. It is designed to complement the coaching process, helping parents build understanding and apply strategies between sessions – so the work doesn’t stop when the session ends.
