🌟 What’s New – November
We’re bringing you five exciting updates this month – from new webinars and upgraded tools to our brand-new KidZone – all designed to help you create lasting change in children’s mental health.
🧠 Updated Course: Using and Applying Grounding Techniques

When children are overwhelmed, their bodies move into survival mode – fight, flight, freeze, or shut down.
Grounding helps them return to safety by using movement, rhythm, and sensory awareness to calm the body before words or reasoning can work.
🎓 Learn to:
- Recognise the signs of dysregulation and body shutdown
- Apply somatic and sensory grounding strategies safely
- Support children to re-engage connection and communication
🎥 New Somatic Video Tutorials – Now Live!
Short video demonstrations now accompany the training, showing practical grounding techniques including Orientate, I Wonder, Havening, Counting Down, 3 Out – 3 In, Butterfly Hug, Applied Relaxation, and Washing Away.
These are available to all Learning Portal members to support real-world application and confident facilitation.
