BOUNCE Approach®Sensory IntegrationResource PackND-Affirming
Sensory Differences Activity Pack
A visual, body-based resource that helps children explore and express how their nervous system experiences the world — making the invisible visible so they can be supported, not corrected.
Sensory overload and shutdown are frequently misread as behaviour — because what’s happening inside a child’s body is invisible to everyone around them, and often to the child themselves. This pack uses metaphor, visuals, and body-based cues to help children become more aware of their sensory preferences and needs across sound, light, movement, touch, and internal signals like hunger, pain, and energy changes — especially when they struggle to find the words.
Grounded in Polyvagal Theory, Spoon Theory, and neurodivergent-affirming practice, every tool in the pack is child-friendly, visual, and flexible — suitable for 1:1 sessions, group settings, or home use, and adaptable whether laminated for regular use or printed as a regulation planning toolkit. The approach is always exploratory, never corrective — supporting co-regulation and interoceptive awareness at the child’s own pace.
Three bonus resources to deepen your practice.
Understand the nervous system foundations behind regulation, emotional expression, and connection — so you can apply them with confidence in your sessions.
A practical guide to using Child Therapy Service Snapshots — what they measure, how to use them, and how to track meaningful change over time so you can evidence the impact of your work.
