Welcome to the Pupil Voice Resource

As you may know, OFSTED provides schools with an online questionnaire for staff and students to complete during inspections. This tool has incorporated essential questions from OFSTED to give voice to students. Its aim is to help pinpoint the reasons why a child might be having difficulty accessing full-time education. This information should be integrated into a child’s wellbeing support plan.

Welcome to the Pupil Voice Resource

OFSTED utilises various tools during school inspections, including questionnaires for students. These questionnaires are designed to gather feedback directly from students about their experiences, perceptions, and views on aspects such as teaching quality, school environment, safety, and overall satisfaction. T

he specific questions can vary but generally aim to provide inspectors with insights into the educational experience from the perspective of the students themselves. This feedback helps OFSTED assess the effectiveness of the school’s provision and support systems from a student-centered viewpoint.

Practical Application

  • Personalised Support Plans: Use the data to create tailored plans for students facing emotional challenges, including interventions.
  • Focused Interventions: Identify specific areas needing emotional support, such as peer relationships or bullying, and implement targeted interventions like workshops or anti-bullying programmes.
  • Staff Training: Share the data with staff to raise awareness and provide training on supporting students’ emotional needs effectively.
