MONTHLY COFFEE MORNINGS
This calm, safe space has been created for families to come together and feel supported. They are run by Tracy, Founder of the Child Therapy Service CIC and a mum in ‘the know’.
Tracy created this support service – because she understands how isolating it can be for parents and carers of young people struggling with anxiety. She holds the space for parents to support each other – alongside a few practical tips to keep us going!
“Tracy has created a super safe space where it’s OK to explore, learn and share challenges that having an amazing neurodiverse child might bring. There are not many of these spaces out there, and mainly one feels separate from or isolated as one’s beloved has a story, different from one that society expects.
She softens the tough edges and offers and demonstrates practical suggestions and tools to try out with your young person.
My daughter is not yet in a better place but I know I can ask Tracy for support whilst we get to a better place. Many thanks Tracy & CTS.”
THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT CIRCLES
The Therapeutic Support Circle has been created for parents, carers, and professionals that support young people that struggle with emotional overwhelm. When we ‘carry’ the emotional needs of others – we need to release them, so that we can be present with the child and not be triggered into past experiences.
Sessions are live, with the access thereafter, to recorded techniques. It is recommended that you attend the live sessions, as the energy of support in the session is extremely powerful.
“I am amazed at the impact your techniques have had on my life. My job is very stressful. I have difficulty in dealing with stress and letting go of my anxieties. I regularly do bilateral eye movement, tapping and grounding and these techniques have significantly reduced my stress levels. I work with children with anxieties and I practise the same techniques with them to reduce their stress levels.
The Therapeutic Coaching services are for the child, young person, and/or family. It is depending on the need.
They are target focused and aimed at people who are ready to make a change away from emotional overwhelm and dysregulation – towards a more peaceful, calmer, happier state.
They are a high impact sustainable approach – with many clients only needing 1-2 sessions to feel empowered with the tools to regulate their own emotional needs. This is why it is so effective for neurodivergent clients, who don’t know why they are overwhelmed – they just are. And talking about it, simply makes them feel worse!
Our resources have been created, to provide a structured – systematic approach to supporting a young person’s emotional health.
- Anger + Rage
- Anxiety + Stress
- Art Therapy
- Confidence + Self-esteem
“The Restorative Approach to Conflict resource has helped me identify my own conflict style which kept me safe, but not learning or growing.
I would often succumb to other people’s wishes because of not being able to find my own voice.
It has also made me aware of what kind of people I seem to attract into my life due to familiarity and what the outcome of that collaboration tends to be. I am also much quicker now at identifying the conflict style of the person that I am in exchange with and what we are co-creating together. Knowing which position I am coming from and which position the other person is coming from helps me be more aware about the direction that the interaction is going and what are my choices to help it move in the direction of a more collaborative exchange.
Most of all I needed to learn what my needs were and find my voice to be able to express them clearly, calmly, and with more confidence. I am recognizing now that my needs matter as much as the person who I am in exchange with. I also recognize that I have a choice now over how I express those needs. I am embracing a sense of playfulness to be able to expand my repertoire of expressing those needs in the future.
Thank you, Tracy for creating the resource and creating a positive impact in my life”
