Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale
A LEGO-inspired adaptation of one of the most widely respected self-esteem measurement tools — made accessible for neurodivergent children and those who find abstract emotional concepts difficult to process.
The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale is a robust, widely used tool for measuring global self-esteem in children and young people. This adapted version uses LEGO-inspired visual prompts and structured, concrete language to make the same rigorous framework accessible to children who benefit from clear, predictable tools — including those who are neurodivergent or find abstract emotional concepts difficult. Ten carefully worded self-esteem statements with a clear scoring system give you a reliable, evidence-informed starting point for conversations, referrals, or tailored support.
Scores typically fall between 15 and 25, with a score below 15 indicating that self-esteem may warrant further exploration. This is an informational signal, not a diagnosis — but it gives you something concrete to act on and return to as support progresses.
The pack includes the 4-page LEGO-Style Scale with scoring guide, a Rosenberg Progress Tracker in Excel to record baseline, mid-point, and final scores over time, and a 4-page Introduction Guide covering ethical use, score interpretation, and next steps. Designed for school counsellors, ELSAs, SENCOs, educational psychologists, therapists, and pastoral leads working with children aged 7–16.
