Lego-based Therapy is a dynamic, play-based intervention that leverages the creativity and engagement of Lego building to support children with social communication challenges. Developed initially for autistic children, it focuses on enhancing collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills through structured group play.

During a typical session, children assume specific roles—such as builder, supplier, or architect—fostering teamwork and turn-taking. As they work together to build models, children practice essential social skills like taking turns, active listening, and problem-solving, all within a fun and motivating context.

Will this Training Integrate SEMH?

Yes, all our training specialises in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health profiles. This highly regarded live webinar not only delves into the theory behind Lego Therapy but also provides case study examples of how it can be adapted for small group and 1:1 sessions for students who may struggle in larger groups.

We are also passionate about ensuring that all our interventions are neurodivergent-affirming, considering the holistic needs of the whole child, including attachment, sensory processing, emotional regulation, social connection, and self-awareness.

Attendees will not only leave with the confidence to understand the theory and how to adapt it based on their cohort, but also have all the resources needed to implement it immediately.
