What is Holistic Therapy?

Holistic Therapy is a extremely effective person-centred approach for anyone struggling with anxiety and emotional overwhelm – that can’t talk about it.

It is very effective for children that need another way – a way to control the physical overwhelm of emotions.

As with Drawing & Talking – it is intended to complement rather than replace the work of CAMHS, art or other specialist therapists; enabling children who would otherwise go untreated to get the help they need before problems become entrenched.

What do Sessions Look Like?

Work with the child is very much based on their individual needs.  The pace is adapted throughout the session into bite-sized chunks – which is why, this approach is very effective for neuro-divergent children.  Not all children are able to ‘talk through’ their anxieties – however, they can process and manage them through co-regulation and self-regulating strategies.

These strategies include:

  • Applied Relaxation Technique/Progressive Muscle Relaxation
  • Guided Visualisations & Meditation
  • Deep Breath-work Techniques
  • Guided Reflexology
  • Drawing & Talking
  • Sand-tray Work
  • Therapeutic Stories
  • Emotional Freedom Technique

These sessions are also idea, for families or professionals looking to up-skill themselves, so that they can use these techniques with the child – moving forward.  The goal of these sessions is that they are replaced by self and co-regulation.  That the sessions are no longer needed – because the child and the adults working with the child, are able to do a number of the techniques themselves.

How Much are the Sessions?

  • One to One Zoom Session:  £40
  • Face to Face Session: £45 (Eastbourne)

  • Duration:  45-50 minutes

What do People Say About it?

“I had some major issues that I decided I needed to address, but I didn’t know who to turn to. I’ve had countless counselling sessions when I was at school, private counselling sessions too however, nothing had really seemed to help. This was before I met Tracy, and to say I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for her, would be an understatement.

The sessions I had helped to address the root of the problems I was having, which was a real eye opener. I went to Tracy with a list of things I felt insecure about and that were causing me sleepless nights and severe anxiety, creating life blocks as such. Tracy helped me to understand what the root problems really were, that stemmed back way before the list I went with. It was so eye opening and at times, confusing how we got to the roots of the issues to identify my triggers, but it has been one of the most interesting experiences in my life. After addressing the triggers, I would go away after every session with homework and tasks to do to make progress on dealing with the triggers.

Tracy is a truly remarkable and passionate lady and I will forever be grateful that I was told to reach out to her for the help I wanted, not realising at the time how much my life would be changed.” Confidential
