Welcome to Attachment-based Activities
Play-based attachment activities offer a nurturing path for children struggling to form trusting relationships.
By creating a safe, enjoyable environment, these activities allow kids to express emotions, build positive associations with professionals/caregivers, and develop essential social skills. Through play, children regain a sense of control and autonomy, learn emotional regulation, and can even re-enact and heal from past attachment experiences.
These are a great addition to existing interventions – as a starter or warm-up. Simply, print them out – laminate and pop them into a zip wallet.
When you are working with a child that is struggling to regulate, or identified as having attachment-based needs – simply select one of the games.
